Recurring orders · billing approvals · integration recovery

Shopify, Tally & Accounting Automation for Bengaluru

For Bengaluru teams, also searching under Bangalore, running Shopify brands or service businesses: start where one system says work is complete but another still needs a person to copy, check or chase it. We design the handoff, the approval and the recovery path together.

Start with one workflow

Pick the handoff that needs attention.

Choose one recurring process and include a failed or delayed event in the sample. A subscription renewal or approved billing milestone makes the ownership question concrete: who can authorise the next step, and what happens if the destination is unavailable?

01 · Accounting automation

Approved milestones ready for billing review

For service teams preparing invoices from CRM stages, delivery sheets or recurring billing schedules.

Map one approved milestone or billing cycle into an accounts-ready draft. Check customer, period, reference and approval status before handoff. A sales-stage change alone is not treated as permission to invoice.

What we scope together

  • A billing-readiness queue with missing approvals and customer details flagged.
  • A source-to-draft audit trail and a review checklist for the accounts owner.

What affects cost: CRM access, approval logic, recurring-period rules, company count and customer-master quality.

02 · Tally & TDL customisation

Project and billing references in Tally reports

For service businesses reconciling customer invoices and receipts against project or contract references held elsewhere.

Check native references and reporting first. If necessary, scope one TDL field or report that makes an agreed project identifier visible without replacing your accounting controls. Compatibility is assessed against your installed release and add-ons.

What we scope together

  • A reference-field specification and a sample project-wise report.
  • Acceptance cases for missing references, amended records and receipt allocation.

What affects cost: Existing reference quality, report grouping, historical backfill and testing across installed add-ons.

03 · Shopify–Tally integration

Recurring orders with traceable accounting

For subscription brands reconciling renewal orders, skips, cancellations and refunds with accounts.

Pilot the handoff for one Shopify store, subscription setup and Tally company. Agree which paid-order and refund events drive the accounts review, retaining the source order ID. App status and money movement are checked separately.

What we scope together

  • A renewal-order and refund mapping approved by finance.
  • A reconciliation register plus retry, cancellation and unknown-product test cases.

What affects cost: Subscription app data, event sequencing, ledger mappings, refund policies and monitoring needs.

04 · Shopify operations automation

Subscription exceptions with a clear recovery path

For operations teams manually chasing failed renewals, fulfilment exceptions or conflicting app statuses.

Review the installed subscription app and its native recovery features first. Scope one missing workflow, such as assigning unresolved renewal failures to support after an agreed interval. Available actions depend on your Shopify plan and app permissions.

What we scope together

  • An event and ownership map, including customer-communication approval.
  • Failure alerts, replay checks and instructions for restarting or closing an exception.

What affects cost: Subscription app capabilities, support-system integration, message approval and recovery monitoring.

Before the first review

Bring a small, useful sample.

  • Your Shopify and subscription apps, or the CRM and billing tools involved in one recurring process.
  • One successful transaction, one retry and one cancellation or correction with identifying details removed.
  • The finance approval rule, Tally release and a named owner for monitoring failed handoffs.

Remove customer, staff and financial identifiers from initial samples. We agree authorised access and a test environment separately.

Scope, cost and timing

A diagnostic, then a focused pilot.

  1. 2–5 business days: review samples, existing features and dependencies; agree a workflow map and acceptance criteria.
  2. Usually 1–3 weeks for a focused pilot: implement the agreed path, test failure cases and collect owner feedback.
  3. Release after sign-off: agree the cutover, monitoring, rollback and handover. Ongoing maintenance is a separate scope.

These are planning estimates after access and scope are agreed, not fixed delivery commitments. We provide a quote after reviewing the workflow. Licences, app or connector fees, historical clean-up and additional companies are identified separately.

Method you can inspect

Review the work before a bigger commitment.

Raghav leads the workflow review; The Night Marketer supports delivery. You can inspect our synthetic reconciliation and job-work examples, then use your own approved samples to decide whether a pilot meets the agreed checks.

The sample pack is an offline demonstration, not a live Tally connector. Compatibility and accounting outcomes must be tested in the agreed environment.

Before you enquire

Do you need to replace our subscription app or CRM?

Not automatically. We check native features, available events and existing integrations first. A pilot should solve a defined gap in your current stack; migration is a separate decision with its own scope and acceptance criteria.

Do we need all four services?

No. Choose one handoff with a clear owner and a measurable acceptance check. We can extend it after the pilot is accepted; a Shopify workflow does not automatically require custom TDL or an accounting integration.

Who approves accounting entries and GST decisions?

Your finance team or tax professional approves classifications, tax treatment and posting rules. The engagement covers workflow and software implementation; it does not replace their accounting or statutory review.
