Find the actual constraint.
We start with the current workflow, the data that enters it, the people who touch it, and the point where useful work starts waiting.
Shopify–Tally Integration Services
I help D2C and multichannel teams connect Shopify commerce records with TallyPrime accounting. We define when an order becomes eligible for posting, which system owns stock, how refunds and cancellations are handled, and who resolves exceptions. The Night Marketer team supports implementation around the chosen connector or custom integration.
An order, payment, fulfilment, refund and payout are different records. We agree which event makes a transaction eligible for accounts and preserve the store, order and operation identities. The Shopify API version, app access and Tally environment are verified during discovery. A maintained connector is evaluated before custom development when it can cover the actual transaction and recovery requirements.
Preserve order lines, discounts, shipping, payment context and the relevant event identity. Verify incoming webhook deliveries and retain work for processing.
Finance confirms company, item, ledger and document treatment. Incomplete or ambiguous events remain in a visible queue.
Transfer eligible records using the agreed connector or integration. Link the confirmed voucher reference back to the source operation.
Compare orders and refunds with accounting results. Review inventory movements and payout settlements using their own agreed records.
Illustrative design: an order contains two items, a discount and shipping. One item is later refunded without a stock return. The workflow retains the original order and refund identities, checks the associated payment result, and applies the approved accounting treatment. It does not add stock simply because a refund exists. If the same event arrives again, the confirmed result is checked before any new posting.
Define the owner for each SKU and location, including allocation, available quantity and adjustment rules. An accounting stock balance and the quantity available for online sale may represent different states. A two-way update without an ownership rule can send the same change back and forth.
The pilot includes a partial fulfilment, a cancellation, a refund without restocking and a physical return awaiting inspection. Warehouse and accounts owners agree the expected result for each. The connection follows that decision rather than inferring a warehouse movement from a payment action.
An order amount is not necessarily the amount deposited by a payment provider. Fees, timing differences, refunds and other adjustments can affect a settlement. Order-to-voucher checks and payout-to-bank checks therefore have their own populations, periods and owners.
The operating view shows the last confirmed transfer, the oldest unresolved event and a reason for each exception. A recovery run checks uncertain outcomes before resending. Acceptance includes an unavailable Tally environment and a repeated or delayed commerce event, so the team can run the process after launch.
| Approach | Good fit | Check before committing |
|---|---|---|
| Reviewed export/import | Periodic accounting transfer with stable exports and supervised review. | Test line grouping, discounts, company mapping and corrected exports. |
| Existing Shopify–Tally connector | Standard supported orders, item mappings and refund cases. | Demonstrate partial refunds, duplicate deliveries, location rules and support coverage. |
| Custom commerce-to-finance workflow | Several stores, complex approvals or unsupported lifecycle and reconciliation requirements. | Define event contracts, permissions, stock ownership, retries and independent reconciliation. |

The pattern behind the request
Connect Shopify orders, payments and refunds to Tally with clear stock ownership, approved accounting mappings and daily reconciliation.
A clear path, not a black box
You stay close to the important decisions without becoming the project manager for every specialist. The process is deliberately practical: understand, shape, prove, hand over.
We start with the current workflow, the data that enters it, the people who touch it, and the point where useful work starts waiting.
The right path may be a cleaner process, a connector, a page change, a CRM rule, or a focused build. The design makes ownership and exceptions explicit.
We prove the important scenarios, document the operating rhythm, and leave your team with a system they can actually run.
What gets built
The implementation is shaped around how work needs to move in your business. That means decisions, exceptions, data quality, and team adoption get attention alongside the actual build.
We make the current state legible before deciding what deserves to change.
The rules, inputs, owners, and tools are arranged around the outcome rather than a generic template.
The build is checked against the real moments where work normally breaks down.
Your team gets the operating notes needed to keep the work moving after handover.

Direct access, execution depth
I diagnose the problem and stay responsible for the path to delivery. When the work needs design, engineering, SEO, automation, or specialist support, The Night Marketer team adds depth without making you coordinate the room.
Common questions
Yes. We evaluate it against your actual order, discount, refund, inventory and recovery cases. Custom development is considered when the supported behaviour leaves a specific operational gap.
No. Financial refunds and physical stock returns are different events. The implementation follows the approved restocking and warehouse rules, and checks the relevant transaction result instead of assuming that a refund record means both money and stock have moved.
That can be included in scope. Each store, company, item mapping and source operation needs an explicit identity and ownership rule. The pilot checks isolation before additional stores or companies are enabled.
Finance and tax professionals approve the accounting and tax treatment. The integration transfers eligible records, preserves evidence and routes differences; it does not independently decide those treatments.
