Store and company mappings that finance can reconcile
Begin with one Shopify store and one Tally company, retaining order and refund references through the accounts handoff. Finance approves company, ledger and tax mappings. Additional stores, companies, warehouses and stock-sync directions are separately scoped after the first flow is accepted.
What we scope together
- A store-to-company mapping and a source register for orders, refunds and unresolved master data.
- An acceptance set and reconciliation process to use when extending the handoff to another store.
What affects cost: Store/company count, catalogue and ledger mappings, refund complexity, connector fees and separately agreed inventory requirements.
From review to handover
How the Shopify–Tally integration pilot works.
Agree source and destination mappings
Review one Shopify store, one Tally company and a set of paid orders and refunds. Confirm who owns SKU, party, ledger and tax mappings before choosing the transfer route.
Test events and recovery
Check a normal order, a repeated event, an unknown mapping and a refund in the agreed test environment. Decide how records wait and recover when Tally or a connector is unavailable.
Reconcile before switching on
Compare source records with the proposed destination records. Agree finance sign-off, monitoring, retry ownership and cutover; additional stores, companies and inventory sync are scoped separately.
Before the review
What to prepare.
- One normal paid order, one refund and one repeated or corrected event, with customer details removed.
- Tally release, hosting arrangement, company count and the person authorised to approve test access.
- A sample SKU-to-stock-item and ledger mapping, plus any connector or export already in use.
Remove identifying customer, staff and financial details from initial samples. We agree authorised access and the test environment separately.
Cost and timing
Start with one agreed outcome.
A diagnostic typically takes 2–5 business days after the required samples and access are available. A focused pilot is usually planned over 1–3 weeks, with release following owner sign-off.
These are scoping estimates. We confirm the quote, dependencies and delivery dates after review. Licences, connector or app fees, historical clean-up, additional companies and ongoing maintenance are identified separately.
For this workflow: Store/company count, catalogue and ledger mappings, refund complexity, connector fees and separately agreed inventory requirements.

Examples and preparation guides.
Our downloadable pack contains synthetic job-work, receipt-exception and source-event examples. Use them to understand the checking method before we work with your approved samples. They are offline demonstrations, and compatibility is established in the agreed test environment.

Questions before you enquire.
What does the first Shopify–Tally integration pilot cover for India?
Begin with one Shopify store and one Tally company, retaining order and refund references through the accounts handoff. Finance approves company, ledger and tax mappings. Additional stores, companies, warehouses and stock-sync directions are separately scoped after the first flow is accepted.
Will sales, refunds and inventory all be synchronised in the first pilot?
The first scope is one agreed commerce-to-accounts handoff. Order and refund mappings are defined explicitly. Inventory direction, warehouse ownership, multiple companies and historical imports are separate decisions, rather than assumed parts of the pilot.
Can we use an existing connector?
Yes, if its supported versions, mappings, error handling and commercial terms fit the workflow. We compare the existing connector or native export route with custom work before recommending an implementation.
