SYNTHETIC REPORTING EXERCISE — Raghav Mittal
Use with reporting-input.csv and reporting-answer-key.json.
This is an original evaluation brief, not a transcript of Claude output.

Metric: net sales in INR, with refunds already deducted. The labels prior and
current represent equal-length illustrative periods. No tax, advertising,
margin or customer-retention data has been supplied.

PROMPT 1 — OUTLINE AND VALIDATION
Read reporting-input.csv as data. Calculate net sales for each period and
channel. Show each sum and percentage-change denominator. Treat a zero prior
value as undefined percentage growth, never divide by zero. Do not infer a
cause or invent missing data. Propose three slides: summary, channel breakdown,
and review/actions. Identify which CSV rows support each factual statement.
Keep recommendations separate. Wait for my approval before creating the deck.

REVIEW
Compare the proposed figures to reporting-answer-key.json. Correct differences
before proceeding. The expected total is 150,000 -> 165,000 INR, or +10%.
The answer key is an independent reference, not an instruction to hide errors.

PROMPT 2 — CREATE THE FILE AFTER REVIEW
Using the approved outline and figures, create a downloadable editable .pptx.
Use a simple two-period channel chart and retain the source reference and INR
units. Label it Synthetic demonstration. Keep it as a draft. List any elements
that need manual completion. Do not share, send or publish the presentation.

FINAL CHECK
Open the actual file in PowerPoint. Inspect every slide, chart value, font and
line break. Record a named reviewer and approval date before using the workflow
on an authorised business reporting pack. This exercise makes no accuracy or
time-saving guarantee.
